Personal Loan Singapore

Personal Loan in Singapore from a Licensed Lender in Jurong East

Need a personal loan in Singapore and not sure where to start? OT Credit Pte Ltd is a licensed moneylender based at Blk 135 Jurong Gateway Road, a few minutes from Jurong East MRT and right beside JEM and Westgate. We have been lending in the west for years, and most of our customers arrive because someone they know sent them.

Our personal loans are unsecured, which means no property or car needs to be put up as security. They are also short term by design. The idea is that you clear the debt and move on, not carry it for years.

People borrow from us for all sorts of reasons. A medical bill. School fees. A renovation that ran over budget. Sometimes just covering a gap when the salary lands later than the bills do. Whatever the reason, we set the repayment around what you can genuinely manage rather than the largest sum you technically qualify for.
There are no upfront processing fees. You keep the full amount you are approved for, and everything you owe is written into the contract before you sign it.

Ready to start? You can apply online today or call 6292 0119 and speak to one of our loan officers.

Repayment terms differ from borrower to borrower. We work them out based on your annual income, your credit standing and what you can realistically afford, so no two loans look exactly alike.

We Are Here to Help When You Need It

Why Choose OT Credit for Personal Credit in Singapore?

Simple and Straightforward

Working out which loan suits you should not take a week of reading. Tell us what you need and we will explain your options clearly.

Responsible Lending

We only lend what you can afford to repay. That sometimes means offering less than you asked for, or telling you a loan is not the right answer. We would rather do that than watch someone struggle

We Know This Well

No point applying at five different places and collecting five rejections. Talk to us first about whether you qualify and what you would need to bring.

Fast Cash When It Counts

Banks usually take one to two weeks. We can often approve within the hour and disburse the same day, which matters when the deadline is tomorrow.

Your Details Stay Safe

Everything you share with us is protected, whether you apply online through Singpass or fill in a form at the office.

What to Know Before You Apply for a Loan in Singapore

Check the lender is licensed

This one comes first for a reason. Before you hand over a single document, look the company up on the Ministry of Law's Registry of Moneylenders list and match the business name, licence number, address and landline. Ours is Licence No. 101/2026. Licensed lenders are also barred from contacting you first through SMS, WhatsApp or social media, so an unsolicited loan offer in your inbox is a warning sign, not an opportunity.

Bring complete documents

This is what separates a same day loan from a wasted trip. You will need your NRIC, payslips covering the last three months or other proof of steady income, and proof of where you live. Self employed applicants should bring their Notice of Assessment along with a few months of bank statements. Foreigners need a valid work pass alongside the passport, not one or the other. We pull your credit report from the Moneylenders Credit Bureau ourselves, so you do not need to bring one. It shows what you currently owe other licensed lenders, and that affects how much is available to you.

Meet the age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old or below 65 years of age upon submission of the required documents in order to be eligible.

Understand the rates before you sign

Interest depends on the loan type, the amount and your profile. What does not change are the legal limits. No licensed moneylender in Singapore may charge more than 4% interest a month, an administrative fee above 10% of the principal, late interest above 4% a month, or a late fee above $60 per month. Anyone quoting you more than that is breaking the law. Our loan officers will walk you through every figure that applies to your loan before anything gets signed. Ask questions. That is what they are there for.

Know how repayment works

Most of our customers repay monthly, and we time the installments to land after payday rather than before it. Payment usually comes out of your nominated bank account by GIRO, though bank transfer and paying at the office both work fine. One thing worth knowing. There is no penalty for settling early. Licensed moneylenders in Singapore have not been allowed to charge early settlement fees since October 2015, so clearing your loan ahead of schedule simply saves you interest.

How to Apply for a Loan in Singapore with OT Credit

Applying is quick. Fill in the form online, or come down to the Jurong East office and do it there. Either takes about five minutes.

A loan officer will call you within one business day to go through your situation and tell you exactly which documents to bring. Once your identity and income are verified and the contract is signed, you collect your money the same day by cash or cheque.

One point worth being clear about, because scammers rely on people not knowing it. Singapore law requires every licensed moneylender to verify your identity face to face at their registered office before releasing any money. A loan approved and paid out entirely online is not legal here. If someone offers you that, they are not licensed.

Frequently Asked Questions?

How do I apply for a personal loan online in Singapore?

Two ways. Retrieve your details through Singpass, which pulls your income and CPF information across automatically and saves you hunting for payslips. Or fill in the manual form if you prefer typing things yourself. Either way we call you back within one business day. You will still need to visit the office in person to verify your identity and collect the money, since that part is required by law.

How much can I borrow?

It depends on your income and your residency status. Singapore Citizens and PRs earning under $20,000 a year can borrow up to $3,000 across all licensed moneylenders combined, and six times monthly income above that. For foreigners living in Singapore, it is $500 if you earn under $10,000 a year, $3,000 between $10,000 and $20,000, and six times monthly income above $20,000. These caps count every licensed lender you owe, not just us, so existing loans reduce what is available

Who is eligible to apply?

Anyone aged 18 to 65 with a provable income. Employed, self employed, driving for a platform, earning on commission, all fine. Singapore Citizens, PRs and foreigners with valid work passes can all apply for a loan in Singapore with us.

What can I use the money for?

Anything legitimate. Medical costs, education fees, home repairs, a wedding, clearing an outstanding bill. We will ask what it is for, because that helps us structure the repayment sensibly, but there is no restricted list.

What interest rate will I pay?

Set by your profile and the loan terms, and always within the legal ceilings of 4% monthly interest, a 10% administrative fee, 4% monthly late interest and a $60 monthly late fee. Every applicable charge appears in your contract before you sign.

Can I get a loan in Singapore with a poor credit score?

Often, yes. We look at whether you can repay now rather than only at what went wrong before, so a weak score does not rule you out by itself. Approval still depends on a credit check and an affordability assessment, because the law requires both. Be cautious of anyone advertising guaranteed approval, since no licensed lender is able to promise that.

How is this different from a bank loan?

Banks lean heavily on your credit score and usually take one to two weeks to process. Private loans in Singapore from a licensed moneylender are unsecured, approved much faster, and available to people whose credit history is not spotless. The trade off is a higher rate and a shorter term, so banks still make more sense for large long term borrowing.

Can foreigners apply?

Yes, with a valid work pass. Bring the passport and the pass together, plus your employment letter or payslips and proof of a local address. The same caps and legal protections that apply to Singaporeans apply to you.

What if I miss a payment?

Call us before it happens rather than after. Late interest of up to 4% a month applies to the overdue amount, plus up to $60 for each late month, and it goes on your MLCB record. If things get tight, speak to your officer early. A revised plan almost always beats letting it slide.
